Music for Youth $25,000 Scholarship Winners

Our 2004 recipients were Tim Michael Sawyier and Matthew J. Marantz, who were each awarded $25,000. They were chosen from thousands of entries from all parts of the country, not only for their outstanding musicianship but also for embodying the discipline and dedication that are necessary for success.

The selections were made by a distinguished panel of judges, consisting of: Richard Elder Adams (Manhattan School of Music), Lewis Kaplan (The Juilliard School), Anthony Korf (Riverside Symphony), and Chris Rosenberg (Manhattan School of Music). These judges deserve our thanks for their time and efforts. We would also like to extend our deep appreciation to Brian Cohen, Justin DiCioccio, Bill Banchs and Chris Schram for their invaluable assistance.
